B. Help educators use digital tools to create effective assessments that provide timely feedback and support personalized learning.
Learning Designer indicator b shifts its broad focus from indicator a of incorporating digital tools for all learning experiences, to a more narrowed look at using digital tools to specifically address “creating effective assessments that provide timely feedback and support personalized learning”. This indicator is important to me, because as a life-long learner, I place a high value on receiving feedback through my own personalized learning path. Something that is so helpful in the role of feedback provider, is to have tools that enable you to give feedback promptly and in a personal way.
- Tools for Analyzing Formative Assessment. In this post, I look at some of the digital tools that are available to help educators (and coaches alike) to receive formative or summative information from their students (or educators) that help process that information, and provides a space to quickly, yet effectively, review the information to provide timely feedback. If you are interested in learning more about different types of tools, and hearing my personal experience with them, take a moment to review this curated list of tools.
- Although previously provided, I’d like to give the link for Evaluating Efficacy of Remote Learning Content and Tools again. While it is nice to have a resource that has been established, like in number one, I also heavily believe that educators should be empowered in evaluating their own digital tools. If you find a resource that helps you to create effective assessments, feel free to utilize my post in order to evaluate its efficacy and intentionality.
